The BFCM and it's subsidiraires support and diversify the activity of the Credit Mutuel Centre-Est Europe, Sud-Est, Savoie Mont Blanc, Ile de France, Midi Atlantique, Centre, Loire-Atlantique Centre-Ouest, Normandie, Méditerranéen, Dauphiné-Vivarais, Anjou, Massif Central, Antilles Guyane, Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe and the Crédit Industriel et Commercial networks.

Its capital is held by The Caisse Fédérale de Crédit Mutuel for c.92.98%.

BFCM as the holding company of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale owns all the group's subsidiaries outside the mutualist scope. These subsidiaries cover the fields of bancassurance, specialised financial services (consumer credit, leasing, etc.), electronic banking and IT.

BFCM, acts as the central refinancing body and consolidates all the activities of the Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale outside the mutualist scope.

BFCM carries the Group’s subsidiaries and coordinates their activites:

  • directly and indirectly holds 100% of Crédit Industriel et Commercial, the holding company of the CIC group and network head which also performs investment, corporate and market activities.
  • It also holds a 50.04% stake in GACM SA, which controls the ACM IARD SA and ACM Vie SA companies, and which designs and manages product ranges in property and liability insurance, life insurance and health insurance.
  • Finally it holds specialist banks in France and abroad, in particular Banque Européenne du Banque Européenne du Crédit Mutuel (BECM), Cofidis Group, Targobank in Germany and Spain, Crédit Mutuel Asset Management, Crédit Mutuel Factoring...
  • After the convergence of Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe and Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in Januray 2022, BFCM holds 51% of the shares of Beobank, widening the geographical footprint of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in Belgium.

The BFCM, the CIC, the GACM and the different specialized institution by profession incorporate together the group BFCM.
